    Azores Airlines carried out today its first position flight between Toulouse and Lisbon with its new aircraft, the Airbus A320neo (New Engine Option). This new aircraft model is part of a program to replace the Airbus A320ceo models.

  • Azores Airlines adds Milan and London to its offer


    » The airline will launch the connection between Ponta Delgada and Milan and resume direct flights between Ponta Delgada and London.

     

    Next June, Azores Airlines will add to its current offer of flights to Europe, connections between Ponta Delgada (Azores) and London (United Kingdom) and between Ponta Delgada and Milan (Italy).

    Azores Airlines has recently announced an increase in flights between the Azores (Ponta Delgada) and the Algarve (Faro) with a third weekly direct flight. The demand so far has led to an increase in flights, which will start on June 2nd, 2024, on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays.

  • Growth of 27% compared to last year


    SATA AIRLINES SURPASSED THE HISTORIC MARK OF TWO MILLION PASSENGERS TRANSPORTED.

     

    For the first time in its history, SATA Group's airlines have reached the milestone of two million passengers carried in a year. It is a historic moment for the airlines and represents a 27% increase in the number of passengers transported compared to the previous year.

  • Azores Airlines is strengthening its air operation due to the high demand for flights in the coming days


    The airline provides 670 extra seats on August 31, September 1, and 3, 2023, and coordinates additional offers with the reinforcement of interisland flights on SATA Air Açores.

     

    Due to the heightened demand for flights to the Azores Archipelago, particularly during the final days of August and early September, and specifically on routes between the Azores and the mainland, Azores Airlines will proceed with the increase of its operations, ensuring the provision of approximately 670 additional seats, considering the fluctuating demand.

  • International public tender opening of proposals for selling a part of SATA Internacional – Azores Airlines S.A.

    The International Public Tender for selling a part of SATA Internacional-Azores Airlines S.A. capital held by SATA Holding, which manages the airline's assets and holdings, concluded the public act of opening proposals through the jury of the procedure.

    The jury, led by Professor Dr. Augusto Mateus, followed the prescribed procedure for presenting the proposals and releasing the list of proponents under the stipulated legal guidelines.

    Following the procedures provided for in Clause 27 of the Specifications, two proposals were presented in the following order of entry.

    Azores Airlines has just announced the strengthening of its domestic and international air operation to the city of Porto will begin the next IATA Winter (which starts in October and runs until March), with the launch of six international multi-leg flights (via the Azores) between Porto.
