• SATA Group achieved the best revenue ever for a 1st semester and anticipates good accomplishment of the Restructuring Plan in 2022

    In the 1st half of 2022, SATA Group obtained consolidated revenues of 107.9 million euros, a growth of 51.4% compared to the same period of 2021 and 15.2% compared to the same period of 2019.

    This scenario means the best 1st semester in terms of revenue, since there are consolidated results in the group and shows the airlines’ traffic recovery after the pandemic, which represents a significant support for the tourist activity in the Autonomous Region of the Azores.

  • SATA's Airlines reached the 1 million passenger milestone early this year

    In 2021, SATA Group presented a very positive growth in demand, an unexpected behaviour considering the pandemic's effects in the air transportation sector.

    Given the previous year's record, the airlines would expect to register the same or slightly higher result in terms of transported passengers.

    But the one million passenger milestone ended up being achieved sooner than expected. On July 31, 2022, SATA Group reached the mark of 1 million passengers transported. In short, ten weeks earlier than in the year of 2021 and days earlier than in the pre-pandemic year of 2019.

This achievement was only possible thanks to our passengers who are sensitive to their emissions and took advantage of the Program made available by the airline in association with IATA. Their solidarity will support the development of worldwide sustainable projects.

    Azores Airlines has established another virtual interline agreement. This time, the virtual interline established with Air Transat means that Azores Airlines destinations departing from Boston, Toronto, New York, Barcelona, and Paris to the Azores are now accessible on the Air Transat booking platform.

    It is the third interline agreement completed in 2022, all of which are already active on the respective booking platforms.
