Within the scope of the air transport model on the mainland-Azores and Azores-Madeira routes, SATA offers connecting flights, according to seat availability, free of charge, for passengers residing in the Autonomous Region of the Azores, including equivalent residents and students traveling within the Autonomous Region of the Azores, to or from mainland Portugal or the Autonomous Region of Madeira, who wish to use any of the Azorean gateways (Ponta Delgada [PDL], Santa Maria [SMA], Terceira [TER], Faial [HOR], Pico [PIX]).
Connecting flight tickets can be booked at all SATA offices/sales counters in Portugal and the Contact Center by calling +351 296 209 720. Connecting flight tickets are only available for bookings on the online portal (encaminhamentos.sata.pt) up to 120 hours (5 days) and at the Contact Center up to 24 hours before the departure of the initially scheduled flight (inbound or outbound the Autonomous Region of the Azores).
