We share with you the changes to the policy for transporting pets on flights to and from Canada, effective August 1, 2025.
Main changes
- Pets transported in the hold (AVIH) will no longer be accepted on these routes from the date indicated, except for service dogs (SVAN);
- Pets transported in the cabin (PETC) will now be limited to dogs and cats;
Note: All services already confirmed before August 1, 2025, will be honored.
In summary, North America now has a uniform policy on the acceptance of pets, with AVIH no longer permitted and PETC limited to dogs and cats.
