A general strike called by CGTP (General Confederation of Workers) is scheduled for June 3, 2026. As potential disruptions are anticipated on this date, since SATA Air Açores and Azores Airlines' operations rely on services from outside parties, we therefore inform you of the following exceptional measures:
Travel Changes
- Changes to dates outside the strike day are permitted, without penalties or fare differences, on SATA-operated flights between June 1 and June 7 (inclusive).
Reissues and Revalidations
- To proceed with the reissue or revalidation of ticket(s), you must contact the Helpdesk through the usual channels, according to your market.
Refunds
- Refunds are not permitted under this policy.
Notes: Voluntary changes requested by passengers, without flight cancellation, do not entitle them to assistance or compensation under Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004. The right to assistance applies only in the event of an actual flight cancellation.
